Time for Transitions

The BrainSigns lab is thrilled that two of its members, Alexander Davis and Eric Wesner were accepted to PhD programs to further advance their studies. Alexander Davis worked as a Senior Neuropsych research coordinator in the Johns Hopkins Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC). He started his graduate studies in Social Psychology at the University of MD. Eric  Wesner who worked as a Neuropsych research coordinator in the JH-ADRC, started his PhD in Clinical Psychology at Florida State University.

 

We are excited to welcome two new members to our team – Aida Kamalian and Gianna Proscino.

 

Aida Kamalian joins the lab as a postdoctoral research fellow. Aida grew up in Shiraz, Iran. She studied Master of Public Health (MPH) and Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.) at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Tehran, Iran. She had a beloved grandmother diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and that is why she became interested in doing research in neurology in med school. A few months after graduating, she joined BSL lab in August of 2022. Her long-term goal is to become a neurologist and continue doing research on neurological disorders.

 

Gianna Proscino joins the lab as a Neuropsych Research Coordinator for the Johns Hopkins Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center in July 2022. Gianna is from Monroe, Connecticut. She received an undergraduate degree in Clinical Psychology. After college she worked as a milieu counselor at a residential treatment facility. Her long-term goal is to earn a PhD and work as a Neuropsychologist.
